Common questions

When is my business tax return due?

If you lodge it yourself, 31 October. Through a registered tax agent, most small businesses have until 15 May the following year, as long as they are on the agent's client list before 31 October. Some are due earlier. We confirm your exact date when you join.

What do you need from me?

Your bookkeeping file (we support Xero and MYOB), bank statements, and any notices from the ATO. We send you a list for your structure when you join.

Who lodges my return?

Tax agent services are provided by CD Business Services Pty Ltd, a tax practice registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (registration no. 26 349 024), named in your engagement documents.

My returns are behind. Can you help?

Yes. Overdue returns are quoted and approved in writing before work starts. Lodge overdue returns before 30 June where you can: anything still outstanding then brings next year's due date forward to 31 October.
